About the Program

Program Overview


The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) program prepares students for teaching at the secondary level, integrating general, professional, and specialized education courses. It equips graduates with expertise in lesson planning, instruction, classroom management, assessment, and research while fostering 21st-century skills. Emphasizing ethical and professional standards, the program develops socially responsible educators committed to lifelong learning.


The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) is a four-year undergraduate program that prepares future educators for teaching at the elementary level. The program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for elementary education.


The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED) program provides students with fundamental understanding and application of the principles of the early childhood care and education, as well as experience in the application of these principles. It also designed to prepare students for teaching and supporting young children’s development from 0-8 years old in various early childhood settings. 


The Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) program aimed at equipping students with the competencies to meet the psychomotor, cognitive and effective needs of learners. The program focuses on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment methods that enhance physical literacy, motor skills, and overall well-being among learners. The program also emphasizes sports management, recreational activities, dance, and fitness education, ensuring that graduates can adapt and implement effective physical activities.


The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd), Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECED), Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), and Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) are four-year undergraduate programs under the College of Teacher Education. Upon successful completion of all academic and professional requirements, graduates are eligible to take the LET (Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers) and practice the teaching profession. Furthermore, they can advance their careers in education through continuing professional development.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

After 5 years of graduation, the College of Teacher Education graduates will be able to:

PEO 1 - Lift advanced education opportunities by pursuing and completing a master’s degree or other professional development programs, thereby enhancing professional qualifications and expertise to contribute more effectively to the educational field.

PEO 2 - Pursue professional growth opportunities by obtaining positions such as department head, administrator, or specialized teaching roles, thereby supporting advanced skills and leadership abilities to contribute to educational excellence and innovation.

PEO 3 - Transform educational environments within schools and communities by participating in curriculum development, implementing innovative teaching methods, and engaging in policy advocacy to drive reforms and improvements.

Student Outcomes (SO)

Specific to a sub-discipline – (FILIPINO MAJOR)

Upon completion of the program, the College of Teacher Education graduates will be able to:

SO 1 - Nagpapamalas ng mataas na antas ng kaalaman sa pagtuturo ng wika at panitikang  Filipino.

SO 2 - Nagpapakita ng malawak at malalim na pag-unawa at kaalaman sa ugnayan ng wika, kultura, at kaalaman sa proseso ng pagtuturo-pagkatuto.

SO 3 - Nagtataglay ng kaalaman hinggil sa usapin ng kultura at linggwistikong dibersidad ng bansa.

SO 4 - Nakapagdidisenyo ng malikhain, inobatibo, at integratibong mga alternatibong dulog sa pagtuturo at pagkatuto.

SO 5 - Nakagagawa ng pananaliksik ukol sa ikauunlad ng wikang Filipino bilang wikang panturo.


College Objectives (CO)

The College of Teacher Education aims to:

CO 1 - Equip future educators with positive values, knowledge, skills, trainings, approaches, methods, and techniques in the field of specialization that would enhance teaching and learning process.

CO 2 - Produce graduates who can communicate effectively with people, research-oriented, abreast with technological advances, making wise decisions and right adjustments in a dynamic environment.

CO 3 - Nurture educators who are deeply rooted in love for God and country, embodying integrity, excellence, and compassion in their commitment to lifelong learning and transformative teaching

CO 4 - Strengthen collaborations with educational institutions, government agencies, and organizations to align teacher education programs with local, national, and international development initiatives, fostering socially responsible educators.

CO 5 - Provide students with quality instruction and Enhancement programs to help them confidently pass the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET) and pursue a fulfilling teaching career.
