Criminology Interns, Marks Global

Milestone for Criminal Justice Excellence

Central Mindanao Colleges proudly culminated PASIDUNGOG 2025, a transformative celebration of achievement, resilience, and purpose for the 193 Criminology Interns of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE). Held on March 30, 2025, at ELAI Resort and Eco Hotel, Kidapawan City, the event honored not just the academic milestones of future law enforcers—but their rising call to lead, serve, and protect with distinction.

Anchored on the theme “SINAG-TALA: Illuminating Justice, Serving the Community,” PASIDUNGOG 2025 captured the heart of CMC’s mission: to empower students not only as scholars, but as agents of justice and change. The ceremony celebrated key transitions—the induction of class and field officers, the symbolic button pinning, and the formal send-off for international academic mobility.

A highlight of the program was the Criminology Button Pinning Ceremony—a rite of passage that signified the interns’ transition from classroom learners to public servants in training. It was more than a tradition—it was a pledge of purpose. Each pin symbolized trust, accountability, and a personal commitment to the rule of law and public welfare.

Dr. Cynthia S. Asuncion, President of Central Mindanao Colleges, shared a message of insight and inspiration, emphasizing the transformative nature of criminological education: “Education in criminal justice is not merely about learning the law—it’s about understanding people, protecting rights, and building trust in communities. Our students are not just future officers; they are future changemakers.”

In his empowering reflection, Director Erolle Linus T. Miranda, Director for the Institute for Support Services, introduced the institution’s guiding framework for character and leadership in service:“T.A.L.A. is more than an acronym—it is our compass. Tapang, Aral, Liderato, Alab. These are not just words, but the light that will guide every Criminology intern toward a life of justice, service, and transformation.”

Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) also proudly sends off the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) delegates for their International Educational Trip to Thailand on May 9–12, 2025, under the International Academic and Cultural Engagement (I-ACE) Program, supported and endorsed by the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL). The send-off ceremony was led by Mr. Jerson John Villegas, CMC CIAL Coordinator, who underscored the importance of global learning experiences:

“International student mobility opens our learners to new systems, new cultures, and new perspectives. It strengthens academic identity and builds cross-cultural leadership—preparing our students to thrive in a globally connected world.”

The academic mission, led by CCJE Dean Dr. Rolando D. Poblador, will expose participants to Thailand’s criminal justice systems, law enforcement practices, and forensic advancements—deepening global competencies and professional readiness.

CMC extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Rolando Poblador for his unwavering leadership, whose efforts continue to elevate the College of Criminal Justice Education as a leading institution for criminological training and innovation.

PASIDUNGOG 2025 also highlights CMC’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—promoting Quality Education (SDG 4), advancing Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16), and fostering Global Partnerships (SDG 17) through international mobility and transformative learning. These efforts reaffirm CMC’s mission to produce globally competent, socially responsible, and service-driven professionals.
